A Christmas tale from today:
14.00 I noticed that Betfair are displaying the same horses in race 10 and race 11 at Sunland. (Race 11 is fine but race 10 is wrong). I phone the help desk and let them know. 17.00 The rogue race (No10) is still being displayed incorrectly. As no monies have been traded on the race, there is still time to amend the race so I email Betfair. 17.53 I get a reply from the help desk thanking me. 18.00 I look on the site and the offending race 10 has been closed and so quite amazingly is the correctly listed race 11. 19.00 I am wondering are Betfair, the world’s largest betting exchange and leading players in The US racing markets going to get around to amending race 10 and re-activating it along with race 11 which there has never been anything wrong with. 19.16 I email Betfair to remind them that with over 3 hours to the race, can’t the situation be resolved rather than just giving US players the shaft. 20.20 No email back. No amended race 10. No re-activation of race 11 which was correct and should never have been suspended. As usual, I’ve done my graft and prep for Sunland tonight. 7 races to live or die by financially. It seems I have lost 28% of them through no fault of my own. Happy Christmas Betfair From Mr Q |
