MOUNTAINEER RACE 1 preview

a feast of a £5 claimer featuring plenty of 3% stables and jockeys

1. INDYS PROSPECTOR been in the basement grade for ages this 5year old maiden runs on at whatever the trip, on a positive trainer in decent form and in this grade may have a price chance.

2. BERYLS WAY probably has best "form" in this race local runs good can throw in a shocker connections show a big profit but jockey not the best. has an obvious chance but 5-2 no appeal

3. CRIMSON SONG been off for a year and from hawthorne sounds appealing unfourtantley trainer cant train a dog to crap so no

4. FRIENDLY FLING comes in from hoosier apparantley has some sort of early pace which in itself gives it a chance, stable not awful but not in much form but are 12-49 with parker booked, unlikely to be the 8-1 id want with him booked though

5. RHYD Y FLEIN career best last time at 100-1 here which would give a shout been off a year and trainer is a 4% merchant no thanks

6. I AM THE WORD has some sort of form elswere over further big doubt is this minimum trip, however stable pretty good here and often go in at a price jockey ok to on the shortlist

7. MY VIOLIN 32 raced once californian raced maiden has solid form but doesnt/wont/cant win

Mount 9 for me and hope it features in the Barnes preview

race 2 another £5 claiming sprint contest the first race maybe confirmed the last few nights here that being handy is pretty handy :)

1. CAT AND CUSTARD used to be ok here goes from an ok trainer to a very poor one has very little chance

2. LOVE CONNECTION pretty good operator here yard is good (though often overbet) and is in form though not quite seeing 6 out drop trip ideal should be clear fav on post time.

3. TAKE IT HOME DON in and out performer but yard a big plus here won here first start here last time and big chance again

4. SHANGHAI Jim has "form" to go close enough here, however yard not what they have been and 10lb claimer so far looks useless

5. MAGIC ET might be phoning home after this , yard are ok here and gets a nice jockey change bit risky as has been near the back last two starts price chance

6. FULL HORSE POWER looked a promising type here back in march but been awful last twice , those have been since with this new barn who hasnt started well 7lb claimer is decent but this looks to tough a race

7. BLS SAND SHARK was ok here but trainer doesnt seem to have runners anywere anymore (has / had a good record and is probably against to tough here

8. END OF THE GULCH sprinter who probably didnt think/want to end up here after starting at saratoga :) should have some backclass somewere but hasnt shown it here yet again a decent barn though

9. LITTLE SKEET goes for one of top barns here and won a race at presque this year chance is obvious

10. TALK TO DA MANAGER no chance


conclusion

for a claimer here this is tough lots of goodish barns with some solid sorts at the prices the 3 should enjoy being back here and the 5 will enjoy having a jockey on board nothing big though

originally i liked the 1 but is likely to be short , the 7 has been withdrawn the form figures make 6 look a twicer, however has placed at good tracks and rates the bet here at 2-1+
