If you think I'm the guru of anything equine, your mind is definitely playing tricks Seagram!

I'm gradually making progress though. Difficult game this horse-racing thing..

Yep your right there Lord B

Few if any are that good plenty on here come on to abuse the Canadian but from my dealings with him he is pretty shrewd.

Jas knows his stuff and spiller can string plenty of winners together.

Anyhow back to racing you punting at Royal Ascot this week

6 at Penn looks solid same barn as the last winner stable stats are good as is jockey been in better class than these.

Will not have a better chance of winning unless the 3 improves a bit on its first run and the newcomer is any good

Looks bombproof for the first 3 med win bet

The 3 looks pretty strong, especially with the trainer stats and the big class drop. 1.35+ is decent for the place. I might well sit this one out though. If I was a gambling person, I'd think the 1 was good value to place at 3.55. Again, the trainer stats are very good - 40% - and the drop is big.

In truth, I tend to stay away from the big racing, so I'll be *trying* not to bet on Ascot for the rest of this week (I put a little on Frankel, so I think I'll get out while my luck holds!).  I had fun bets on the Belmont Stakes and Kentucky Derby - both of which lost! - and that's about as far as I go with the large stakes races.

Well done on the 3 at Penn.

V wise Lord

If you do end up playing in that race there is a trainer that in last 14 days has had 3 winners and a 3rd from 5 runners, top jockey booked, top draw well you wanted to be high numbers today. Skated home last time out and 4/6 winners have been rated 100 or more it meets that trend as well

12/1 seems a decent ew poke for me on Dance the Dance 5 places ew
