Manny 'the Pac-man' Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito - My 2nd biggest bet of the year (1st 1 being laying federer for the US open) Manny to win by tko... what a legend... knew he was great when he beat one of my fav boxers of all time (morales)... a few variables at play tonight - not the greatest of training camps - gives huge weight - against a top fighter brought back from the wilderness trying to prove a point - but my mind and my heart tell it's pac-mans to lose... now on to the racing!

Massive place bet med win bet the 8 at Penn
Am bewildered why they make the 3 fav at Penn 8 appears to have the edge on speed over the shorter distance its last 3 races have produced plenty of winners. Has raced at a higher grade will sit off the pace if there is any. If there isnt he looks by far the best over 6 1/2f
Think 8 has the same chance over the mile trip as the 3 horse and is much bigger probably read race wrong but if I have hold my hands up after the event
8 to sit off the fractions and place easily and hopefully pick the win off as well gd luck all Penn

The fave at CT is a strange one. One awful race since being claimed by a new barn. Now being dropped down to 8K, having been claimed in a 16K race. Hmmm... I'll steer clear and try getting the 10 to place at 2.10+

Dave. Do you mind if I make a suggestion??? You seem to play virtually every single race. You have to be fantastically good (as in Spiller good) to make a profit that way. If you try and restrict yourself to races that you really feel good about, and feel that you've pinpointed an interesting angle in (or just high value odds), you'll probably make more money.

yes i agree, but when i go in big i loose! so i try to get lots of winners instead with small stakes, i must say being on these forums really helps!, i put £16 in my account just over a week ago and now im at over £300 so im doing something right 
TBF dave find his fair share of winners. Its all about how much you stake is the key.

If you're pulling down lots of winners Dave, there's probably no need to put in large bets. Every time you have a run of wins, increase your typical bet by a few quid. If you continue to win like this, you'll soon be putting down large sums every race.
yes thats the plan lordb!, i always go in heavy with a stupid bet eventually, like when i backed a no1 woman tennis player who won her first set and was winning the 2nd 5-0....1 game away from winning, i though if i put £110 on her to win ill cover my £10 loss on the horses.........she went out injured...1.01 the other player ...market suspended
