I've actually had a fairly poor night myself Pulg.  I got stuffed laying a horse at 10s earlier this evening. I've just about clawed my way back with a number of smallish place bets, but it certainly hasn't been a vintage night for me. I'm now in almost the same position I was in this time last night, so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much, but all the same..  Man U fan too, so this isn't a week I'll treasure..
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 12:45 AM BST
I'm giving this next a miss at Wdb. I'm actually very tempted to lay the 7, as I don't really get why he's so short. I quite like the 2, although the drop is slightly suspect. Won't play though..

Honest!
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 12:48 AM BST
Glad I had the sense to stay away from that one. Guess the 7 was better than I thought!  Did you lay that Pulg???

Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:04 AM BST
the markets are giving enough of a hard time, you don't need me harassing you on top of that
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 1:06 AM BST
Yeah, you're probably quite right TC. I imagine the list is pretty long for those who care to trace it back that far. Probably about as long as the list of Great Canadians in History is short.

In any case, since I have no intention of wasting yet more time debating with a clueless inbred like yourself, I think I'll call it a night.

Farewell Pulg!  (Don't smack TC about too much, will you. Some us will be trying to sleep.)
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:11 AM BST
Go to bed old man, you're not cut out for this sort of thing. Surely you can spend your pension money taking you wife out to a nice dinner or a movie, or buying her some flowers instead of throwing it away on here.

Trust me, this is the best advise anyone could ever give you.
Report thegiggilo October 21, 2010 1:12 AM BST
Silly
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 1:18 AM BST
PS TC - You spell it 'advice'. You 'advise' somebody, but you give them 'advice'. See how this English Language thing works inbred?

(And I'm actually 35 years old, so not really a pensioner...  You usually right that many times in one post?)
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:20 AM BST
You usually right that many times in one post?

Should this be "Are you.......post?

If you are really 35, then I truly pity you.
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 1:23 AM BST
Nope. You can use 'You usually' in informal writing. I suppose if you want to be 'correct' then we might want to add the 'Are' to the beginning, but I get the feeling you don't like being correct very much.  Wouldn't want to upset such an old head as yourself now...
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:30 AM BST
I suppose you can pick and chose between formal and informal as you see fit.

The correct english is ARE YOU, but if you prefer the informal that's fine by me.

6th race at Penn.  Give us all a break......like
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 1:38 AM BST
Informal formal. Don't think it matters too much on here. (There certainly aren't any 'rules' about it.)  Actually, none of this really matters much to me either, but you were the one giving other posters (Michael perhaps?) English lessons yesterday.   You can't give it out one minute but get slightly rattled when the next minute you're asked to take it yourself.

And actually, until you came along with your usual pointless drivel, the rest of us were discussing what we thought of the horse racing. Maybe our expertise isn't up there with yours, but it's still of interest to me - rather more than having another spat with an inbred.
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:39 AM BST
And I should post the winner of the next at Penn why?
Report fullback October 21, 2010 1:41 AM BST
Not you, you know fcuk all
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:43 AM BST
LordB, get it through your ugly thick head, I don't give a flying %#@* what you were discussing.

If you are so good at english, stop losing your money here and apply for a teachers job.

Admitting a long line of b@st@rds in your family tree is a start, but I have a feeling the issue is a lot closer to home with you.
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 1:46 AM BST
Your presence here really is utterly pointless TC.  Nobody's putting up tips at the moment, so you can't claim you're 'taking our money', as you seem to think you do throughout the night. So I can't see what exactly the point of you being here is, since you're not contributing a single thing other than abuse.
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:46 AM BST
wow, fullback, you almost had me there, I thought you were serious for a moment

And BTW, if I ever stoop so low like you as to beg people on a gambling forum to post a winner for me, so help me god..........
Report fullback October 21, 2010 1:46 AM BST
TC, you should be shoved up a bear's ass hole, and the bear shot.
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 1:50 AM BST
Fullback, what's the point? If any of us put up a selection and it loses, we'll get an absolute ripping from TC. If it's successful, he'll choose not to comment. It's just not worth the bother.

Any comments the posters on here make will probably have next to no effect on my choice of horse in any case, so it's not as though I'll lose money through TC's presence. Posting here is really a bit of additional 'fun'. And when it ceases to be 'fun', I'll stop doing it.
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:51 AM BST
The point is that with a just a handful of posts I have you doing the "blood is boiling" dance again.

That's the point, and if you don't get it by now, you are dumber than I thought.
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:54 AM BST
wow, fullback, stunning posts from you tonight.

but TBH, even if I was as you suggest, I would never be such a loser as you to get on my knees and beg posters to give me a winner.

On the other hand, may be if I was on my last dime like you may be I would..........eeeeer, I doubt it though
Report always dreaming October 21, 2010 1:54 AM BST
Good evening all, just back my holidays, am i on the correct forum ????  remember the good old days, when we talked about racing !!!  LOL
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 1:55 AM BST
Would this be the same 'blood is boiling' dance that has us, erm, sending money across the Atlantic?       How exactly????   You're not influencing my betting in any way at all, and since I'm not posting what I'm backing, neither can you be making any money taking the other side.

It really is pitiful just how deluded you are TC.
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 1:59 AM BST
The "blood is boiling" dance is the one that gets a usually mild mannered, courteous and clean talking poster like you start cursing and getting more aggressive with each and every passing post.

You are being played like a fiddle fool, wake up.

Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 2:08 AM BST
I hope you followed fullback Laugh
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 2:10 AM BST
If that's really your strategy TC, then stop wasting your time on it.  My strategy is to try and start the evening by being selective, looking for a good race or two, and then scooping together a bit of money on those and taking it from there. If I lose the first race or two, I might cut my bet size and start betting a bit more frequently.   In those situations, I might go on tilt a little. However, sitting here arguing with you will not have the *slightest* impact on what I'm betting or not betting. Indeed, if I am trying to chase a few losses, I'll generally be concentrating on doing that, and I won't bother with the forum again until after I've made a bit of money back (or not).

Can I stress this to you in the strongest terms? You will have absolutely no effect on me at all. It's not a matter of me being played like a fiddle. It's about you blowing in the wind. So, save yourself the puff old man. You're starting to sound seriously unhinged.
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 2:10 AM BST
Too long of a post to read at this hour.

Let's keep it real
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 2:12 AM BST
fullback, are you there? I have another good lay for you.
Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 2:19 AM BST
What a clueless glove puppet.  You are blazingly thick and deluded.

But, since we're both almost war veterans now, I'll give you a bit of, erm, friendly advice. You want to know how to annoy me? Don't send me some random rant. Instead, ask me why I'm playing a horse, and then when it loses, tell me exactly why my logic was completely wrong and why I should have played another horse. Now that might actually get my blood boiling. (That Dav chap has done that a couple of times, and it is a bit irritating!)   However, some generic rant will have no impact at all.
Report thecanadian October 21, 2010 2:21 AM BST

Report LordBobbbin October 21, 2010 2:27 AM BST
Eh????  I was posting. That wasn't placing a bet. The two things are separate. (I actually just collected on a profitable trade at Penn R7, and the bet I placed would have been placed regardless of whether I was posting on here.)

Geez, why am I still arguing with you when you're clearly incapable of grasping basic concepts?
