My steering job has been and gone but at the wrong price so it carried none of my money , was the 2 at Penn last race but I wanted at least evens  and that didnt happen .

I'm always around Seagram, not always posting at peak times, but watching and waiting for the snippets of value that occasionally but rarely now appear.
Can vouch for Seagram's info, very nice touch last time, so much so he is well in credit for another dozen tips at least...!
Will throw something at it tomorrow, got to be worth it at that price.

I've got 1 and 13 fairly evenly matched on paper, only real difference is the draw, 13 is far from great. but at the prices I agree with Pulgita.

3 looks a great bet

Most of the people on this forum seem sound as

Obviously its a monster race but thought i would share it with you guys not saying its a cert just fancied and its form does indicate to me its got a chance.

Top light weight jockey booked and excellent draw won last race over hurdles and was rated 100 plus in his prime on the flat.

3 years ago off a 100 rating he got beat 1/2 length at royal ascot.

His jumps forms at the weights gives him every chance on ratings with Sentry duty priced at 9/1 anyhow enough prattling from me.

On with the us stuff

took my stake back at 3.75, having backed at much bigger, free bet for me.

I hate those wide draws, too much to do, its sharp track you just cant go 5 and 6 wide and cover twice the ground of everyone else and get away with it. The only wide runners that seem to do well are those with the pace to clear the field before the turn. could have done with it hanging in there a bit longer though, scuppered all my exotic bets.

Penn R6 was looking to lay 6 based on the overweight factor but now scratched, so small place back of the 5

plenty of pace at penn like the 10 but has to prove it on the dirt as does the 9 horse

The 3 looks a pace type and plenty of that in this race imo

Totally agree with Jas a lay of the 3 looks the best option.

Am playing the 1 horse at a massive price realise its only won a 5f race but looks like its bred to want a further trip. Lightly raced reasonable jockey wasnt given a hard race last time fits in okay class wise

Probably be p00 but at these prices with so much doubt he could sit way off the pace travel sweetly and be delivered late

My reasoning so it will probably go from the front and drop away tamely still massive value for me 1 horse med place small win gd luck all Penn

I use it Pulgita. more so in UK racing, but occasionally in the US stuff as well.

The process of the SP is to match your bet against the lay money in the market at Suspension, so just make sure in very thin markets that there is some lay money there or SP lays in the market. I've seen some pretty weird prices returned, the last thing you want is to end up with a 1.77 SP on a 7/1 shot...

works well for uk but not for us, just sp unfortunatley...

I'm on this 3 at 1.85, I really cant see it losing unless one of the newcomers is something special. the trainer of the 6 has good stats with firstimers but I consider Ho a big negative.

I'm not actually sure Pulg, usually if you lay SP you lay to liability unless and have the option of setting a maximum price which you will lay to. If there was nothing in the market at all I'd guess somewhere in between the two price. but I'm not exactly sure, SP bets in mega thin markets are something i avoid like the plague.

#3 is a NAP for me at around 15/8+. has too often been caught up in slow tactical affairs, they should be sure to go an honest gallop here with the 4,6 and 7 all horses that like to lead, the 3 has every chance of mowing them down late. GL

easy to say after a race isnt it just? if you price a horse and it drifts i dont see any reason not to top up unless your a tote watcher

dont realise how refreshing it is being away from this forum for a few days until your back.

its a spot on approach Tod, alot of punters do the opposite and top up on a horse that has been well backed because they somehow perceive it as having a better chance. They'll lose long term imo, and we'll win topping up on our drifters.

Don't know if you two (Tod & Justaceo) have previous, really don't understand why it worries others what someone is doing, it has no effect on anyone other than the poster, each to their own. We all have different strategies that we individually believe to be right, so why the need to rebuke or pass a "smart" comment that only serves to cause bad feeling, had hoped that had been eradicated recently.
Concentrate on your own betting and leave others to do the same, its not your money they are playing with (well of course it could be, but if it is it will have been won fairly...!)

Im not sure Cork, il looked like Ganpath didnt want to take them along at mount but then his hand was forced when the donk in front faded. The pundit at mount said he would bet it even at 1/9 'sure thang' so it looks like he might be filing for bankrupcy first thing
