Santa Rosa race 3
I like Sourdough Sam. I saw him at Golden Gate last October, he is a smart cookie. The moment he went to the track, there was this sudden sparkle in his eye, fascinating to see. (He spanked the field.) Been off due to injury but been training well, he has the tactical speed for this type of race. |

he's very agile and easy to rate, and has a nice turn of foot won't stay beyond a mile but that's alright |

Yeah, it had the best Beyer speed figure over 6f, could improve third time out off layoff and it was always a threat, but the big knock on it was unproven at the distance. Unfortunately it stepped up in style.

I don't often like runners jumping from MSW wins into graded company but I do like the 13 different runner since gelded and the routes suit him to a T, great work on the 8th and IMO the Toronto Cup winner won't stay and the speed of the 12 ensures a fast pace to run into I'm backing 13 |

1 at 3.5. I think this should be favourite. Very hard to beat if reproduces its Group 3 performance at Churchill Downs two back. |
