Mal....I think you will have to start afresh...from now....  The only way to get the old stats would be with the Paper copy of the form.  I have hundreds of them here, actually....I save all for record keeping.

As respectfully as possible, I can assure you that you are barking up the wrong tree....not necc. with Litfin in particular, but with any of the DRF tipsters.  They are great, some of them, but remember:  First, they make their selections at least 2 days in advance, before knowing anything about withdrawals or track condition; Second, they know nothing of prices.  I can guarantee you what Litfin lists as his 'top 3' on Thursday evening for the Saturday races are completely different that what he likely has on his ticket.

i do quite well on the horse racing in England , i would love to be able to get a few winners in the us but try as i have done for months now im finding it really hard to find any angles on which to base any kind of solections .
  I think i might have to forget about the us racing , shame really as i love watching and betting but i dont like loosing as much as i do with it .

Its simple....I can't remember the person who coined the phrase, but... "one horse gets the lead, and the rest of the horses try to catch up'.  lol  Look at pace more in the US....horses more consistently run to their styles.  Try to find a horse who projects to an easy lead.  Or, just look at Speed Figures....(Beyer) .....see who the best figures are...and then see if you can find a reason it won't do it again, or, fine someone who can make up a seeming deficiency for other reasons....

Or, lay all of Litfin's top choices. ;)

thanks markeypd you made a lot of sense there , the system i use for the uk i have done well with over the past 5 years based around the rpr solections and its fair to say it has done ok . I dont know of anything like that in the us so i suppose i will have a look at what you have put forward.

You do well with RPRs, eh?  Wow.  I have done extensive studies on them, and find them useless...both a) ill-constructed, and b) terrible value as EVERYONE has them. 

Why don;t you try to convert the US speed figures into a more familiar RPR rating style for yourself, and go from there?  Should be easy to do.  Beyer scale is (approx) 2.5 points for a length in Sprints, and 2.0 points per length in Routes (1 mile and up)
