He's not a 1m4f horse

topweight....I am certain you meant 10 furlongs, right?  12 furlongs, would not even trust him to win a Gr 3 at a minor track.

Dan & Mark, i know that he is top class at 10f/11f ( 2grade 1 wins at each distance) but imo with his style of running, and now that he's a fullly mature horse i believe that he can mix it with the best as long as there isnt any soft in the going description. The only time he has been tried at 12f was in the Joe Hirsch memorial in which he came with his customary withering late run, and yes i amaware that he seemed to run out of gas in the last 100yds but i believe that was more to do with the relly soft turf. That form alone would surely make him a certainty in a grp3 at the distance Mark?

We'll see, Topweight.   In the fullness of time. I assume he'd be 1.8 in the hypothetical race, and you'd be happy to back, I'd be happy to lay.  I like that horse a lot.....and what you said about him maturing (and the soft going) DOES make sense.  However, I honestly do feel he's simply the best of a weak lot over here.  Would not put even close to the likes of Youmzain (who in turn will prove no match for the cream of the crop over on your side of the pond....assuming youa re in Britain?)

Yes Markey am on the other side of the pond.I see your point about the standard of ur turf horses. However i do think that the higher the calibre of horse that Gio runs against then it will bring out the best in him with that trademark finishing burst.I think he would be competitive in the top european middle distance races (have backed him at 650 4 the arc[:(]) . If they sent him over and it was good ground then he would run well, and would certainly not be a 3 figure price.
