elpode, they are a Wall Street investment house (now technically a bank) that dominates the global derivatives trade (yes, those financial instruments that almost the collapse of the entire banking system in Sept 2008). They don't belong to any particular line of thinking except insatiable greed but considering they benefited so much from Bernanke/Geithner who are Keynesians who embrace Friedman's theories, then you can say they belong in that economic thinking.
