although actual prices are often wrong, the proportional spread of the odds is accurate most of the time IMO (many will disagree)

overall the m/l is scarily accurate but most dismiss it - it's simply someone's opinion and we should review all of the evidence and form our own

M/l odds range from moderately accurate yet completely irrelevant (at best - say, NYRA) to ridiculously our of touch with reality and exceedingly irrelevant (Woodbine, Texas-tracks...) The only time M/L odds become relevant in any way whatsoever if some silly bozo uses them as a basis to create an 'early' line on Betfair, and I get to pick them off early. :)
