I used to have a tipping service in the usa but the 1-900-89-MAVEN hotline has been shut down for many years.  Just gambling for myself these days.

Refuse to do any tipping on this forum for a number of logical reasons, mainly being what is the point of helping the competition.

Have tried over the years to raise the bar regarding intelligent discussion regarding American racing but all the lackeys seem to want is tips and in most cases, not caring how or why those those are selected.

Beware that many of the 'forum tipsters' have their own motives...in many cases, people post their selections after backing that horse hoping to lay it back at a shorter price.

Main Street - From what I remember you are a very knowledgeable fella when it comes to US racing.  Your views and angles into racing are missed by many genuine punters on here. (me included)  I tend to do ok but never give my reasons to backing or laying a horse; this in my opinion gives me a edge.

However, I used to read your selections/reasoning and on the odd occasion changed my train of thought.

You are missed.

I personally do not post my selections to "lay off" later; however I can see your scepticism.  I mainly respect everything which is written on here, but on this occasion I urge you to start posting again.  You are missed.

It is nice to see you have finally put your real name to your Betfair username after all these years. It is a real shame from my point if you that you have hardly featured on our TV screens in recent times as you have been without question the most informative pundit we have ever had. As for putting your real credentials on the line, you should have done it a long time ago.

I differ from your viewpoint about postings selections and reasons although I understand the stance you took. To me, if US racing is to progress, the more angles new or occasional users get as an appetite the sport, the better. I don’t think you have to give up your full play book when posting. Just enough to show UK players it is not a game where you need to be an insider to make a profit.
Judging by the relative lack of interest on the forum in last night’s Preakness, the more postings the better as far as I am concerned. 

It’s nice you finished off some fantastic selections last night with a 13/1 and 14/1 winners (the ridiculous pick Dublin excepted) and those type insights on a regular basis on this forum would have been a massive positive for all.

All I can say as you leave these shores, I hope that personal happiness and fortune come your way.
