Will never put another penny I to an aim company.
Have had my fingers burnt many seem like lifestyle companies for the directors.

My main holdings are her and aureus.
Aur crashed this week to 7p due to poor rns

I'll stick to the 100 from now on.
Pause Switch to Standard View Aim shares. Investing the hard way.

Yes money tree it can be painful. In 1975 the market took off and left me behind when my money in Slater Walker shares sank.Even in big shares it can go wrong,Marconi being a case in point.Best to trade the well known ones,Vodaphone etc.
How about Unit Trusts if you can get in at the bottom of a major up move?.

A paper came out a few months ago on the Hargreaves-Lansdowne web-site ( can't find link, sorry ) analysing AIM shares since inception 20 years ago of the AIM: broken down by companies that pay a dividend and those that don't.
There were big losses for those that don't pay a dividend.
Can't recall why, but there was a huge difference in the aggregate performance of the two groups.

I can believe that.
More bad news at aureus has knocked a further 22% off the price now only 5p a share.

Gave up looking at smaller company shares years ago. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

They're too easily manipulated by connections.
Shares purely for the experts and those in the know.

Yet most small investors are attracted to them.
I suppose it's the attraction of making a lot from getting in at the bottom when one of them takes off.

That's the reason why I purchased them. I had a few that did just that at the beginning so clouded my views a little.
The ones I have now are shocking and I've written them off as losses.
Will stick to the bigger ftse lists from now on.

i lost loads on the aim, all the money i made in the technology bubble and much more, i bailed out with probably 80-90% loss about 12 - 18 months ago as they were just depressing me, if i'd of kept hold of them i'd now be averaging probably a 95-99% loss. Out of the smaller companies i think there was only CAZA where i made a profit ...just.

I'm looking at around 70% loss ATM.
Will not put a penny into aim again. Herencia seem to just do samples of the area they own rather than
mining the metals they have already identified.
Think I'll have a breakdown at the next high grade deposit rns.
Maybe my last investment will be a spade so they can start digging.

Years ago I bought some small company shares which hadn't moved for months. When I called my broker to sell them he said ''I'll call you back.''
When he did he said, ''I've found a trader who'll take them off your hands.
He'll give  you so much for half of them  and so much for the rest.''

I was shocked, so I sold them while I could.

Usually there is a huge spread say 8-10 so until the price  moves to 10-12 you haven't even broken even because of dealing charges. To rise from 10 offer to 12 offer is 20% -and how many  shares do that ?

Herencia about to go pop.
Covered the loss with glencore but it's still a loss.

Stand by my opinion not to put money into the aim ever again.
