Let's see:

Japan in full retard mode with their monetary policy (and still with a trade deficit and the highest energy prices on the planet)

China slowing down (actually a lot more than they are reporting, just look at their electricity consumption data, oil distillates usage, copper prices and the all important pulp imports)

China GDP, Retail Sales and Industrial production all miss expectations

Eurozone mired in recession, some parts in deep depression

EZ retail sales drop

Portugal will need another bailout soon

Spain, Italy and France are currently vying who will be the first to bust the EU (they are all too big to save)

European banks are over-leveraged and under-capitalized (its only a question of when not if another one will blow up soon)

Europe sovereign debt unsustainable and austerity pushing some economies further into the abyss

Greece society about to collapse into chaos

German exports miss expextations

German ZEW economic sentiment plunged (36.3 in April for 48.5 the previous month)

UK growth in nonexistent and unemployment increasing (and Carney about to unleash nominal GDP targeting as a monetary policy)

US economic indices: ISM miss, PMIs miss both on the services and manufacturing side

FED continues to print nearly $33,000 per second without an end date but still no growth

FED districts reporting little to no growth

US initial claims still continue to exceed the magic "thread water" number

US UMich consumer confidence prints the biggest miss on record

US housing recovery is proving to be a mirage

US NFIB small business optimism drops

US NAHB's sentiment index misses expectations

WTO lowers its global trade forecast (3.3pc from the previous 4.5pc)

IMF revises global GDP downwards (they are always overly optimistic to begin with)

Global vehicle sales are collapsing

Confiscating deposits quietly but surely becoming policy everywhere

Cyprus an ongoing saga despite "being solved"

..and Gold was taken-down

……I mean what the hell, other than that, I have every reason to be optimistic.Cry

Blimey, that's quite a list.

Let's see if anyone can think of some positive news.

For football fans. there's a full Premier program this weekend, with 3 cracking games on tv on Sunday & Monday.

For horse race fans, we have the Greenham & two other group races on a fine Newbury card on Saturday.
There's also the Scottish Champion Hurdle and the Scottish Grand National for the jump fans.

For Greyhound racing fans. we have the Golden Sprint final at Romford tomorrow and the start of the Arc at Swindon.
The Ladbrokes 600 starts at Shelbourne Park tomorrow. Greyhound race fans now get to see five night's action per week
on RPTV (A free channel)

Now they can't take this away from us. Happy

I have no doubt that he is right. Perhaps even higher.

One of these days though, someone should bother to ask him to tell us what the price of a loaf of bread he thinks will be when that day comes.

Learn to separate reality from the illusion.
