Pity the poor people that bought in when the company was first floated but I think the shares have got a lot lower to go yet. The novelty of exchange betting has worn off, the bookies have narrowed the gap in terms of innovation, markets and promotions, poker has been a disaster and the new Beta site is horrible, but the biggest problem is Betfair have no shops. They are missing out on the "no questions answered" cash that goes through FOBTs? I could probably put £10,000 through 1 in a day without anyone blinking an eyelid, but try buying a new car from a  dealer with 10 grand in readies? WH @ 3.50 or BF @ 6.70? I know which I'd rather have.

I see CEO & CFO bought in @ just under £6.60. Thought the Greek ruling would of been good for BF, but shares down 15.50p. In papers today just how much these fobts take. Bookies seem to be going from strength to strength - as shown by share prices - and BF is being left behind. Almost a Microsoft situation, done well, plenty of cash, but where do we go next? Where's the innovation to drive us forward? Have the directors bought at the bottom or do we go lower? Not ready to dip my toe in the water just yet. Be interesting to hear what others think?

directors' purchases are a strong sign that the share price has or is about to bottom out.....they must have confidence and know that there will be news coming that will boost the price.....worth a punt around £6.50/£6.60.

What about the chap (Andrew Black) who turned a million pound start up into a billion pound cap. company getting shot of 450 thousand of his shares last week - what sort of sign is this?

WH biggest riser today up to £4.43. Should of taken my own advice. BF seems the rabbit trapped in the headlights devoid of new ideas. I thought once £7 had been broken it would be onwards and upwards but this hasn't happened. They need to pull their fingers out, everyone seems to have momentum apart from them.

Betfair having a go. Sportsbook looks quite promising, easy to use, (just had a bet myself)plus promotions to rival bookies and big page adverts. Price seems to have stabilised above £7, I'm in @ £7.15, hopefully share can push on now towards £7.60.
