hi all, me and a work mate have a mortgage together and have shared a house for past six years.
i have moved out to live with my girl friend and my mates girl friend has moved in with him.
we are now looking to part ways, he would like to buy me out and stay at the same house as it is nice quite place.
i realise i wont make a killing but i want to get off the mortgage as soon as i can  and try to avoid paying out costs ie estate agents or whatever else.
whats the best course of action to start the ball rolling?

You need a solicitor, and you both need to agree the current value..... from there on in, its straight forward.

If you make a killing you might get it free.

Just find a local solicitor, small firm is fine, that specialises in Conveyancing.

He/she will do the rest, honestly as simple as that.
