This is one time I wish benny was still posting here to get an "on the ground" perspective so to speak....(f/k, I can't believe I actually said that )
Auditors apparently gave them a clean bill of health less than four weeks ago before they collapsed last night. Sound familiar (Bankia, Dexia, and many more)?
Here at home, Sir Mervyn King two days ago said that our banks are still hiding losses. I think he ought to know.
Yeah, buy banks !!! Who was the mug (I think he was Australian if I'm not mistaken) that came on here a little while ago spewing "buy banks, they are cheap"? I suspect he wont show his face again around this parts for a while....or not.
The human tragedy behind this crisis, rising unemployment (Spain's unemployment numbers were released this morning and are just plain horrid and Greece will turn into a full blown humanitarian crisis soon), lower incomes, loss of property, the destruction of savings, loss of investments, destruction of wealth, politicians burdening our children with debts so they can sustain the status quo just a little longer, while at the same time the money cartel transfers more wealth and power to their members is what largely has gone unreported and unnoticed in this crisis by the public. There's been no real, honest debate about that. They'll notice sooner or later though, empty stomachs have a way of bringing clarity to people's minds.
It is truly sad what is unfolding.....while the people sleep.
The dominos are starting to fall.Where's benny FFS, we need someone "on the ground" to keep an eye on this.http://www.smh.com.au/business/cherry-fund-sours-for-investors-20121030-28hmw.html
