My wife has bad arthritis which seems to be eased by a dry warm climate and we've spent part of the winter in the last few years in Spain and Portugal.
We considered buying a small place in about 2007 but decided against it due to the prices. Looking at very similar properties today and the price of some of the bank repos are coming in with about a 55-60% discount on those prices from 2007.
Any views greatly appreciated.

Britain's driest spot seems to be St Osyth in Essex - you could try renting a winter place there for a week just to be sure that warm and arid gives better relief than cool and arid. Or not as the case may be. She might not like being in an experiment though.

If it's definitely warm and dry that you need, Almeria is supposedly the driest region in Iberia. As for property advice, can't help, sorry.

That was the general area we were thinking about Bongo.
Warm weather certainly helps with the illness's uv mentioned. As Iv heard many times from
friends and relatives who say exactly the same as ur wife.
No idea abt property prices. 55-65% discount very nice. Better than uk which i'd say is about 40-45% discount

Ponder this for a couple of weeks sitting in front of your keyboard creating fantasies in your sick mind while I enjoy life.

I would say that pretty much played out exactly as predicted.
There's a little bit for everybody in that fantasy, a property in Spain, and arthritic wife, I mean had the mug thrown in a few windmills and a couple invisible green unicorns, we'd potentially have a best seller in our hands here.

How does it feel to be peeled back layer by layer to the rotten core of your mind.......in full public view?
