Viewed a flat above a shop unit today....

It's a newish build (4 yrs old) with one previous owner. The block consists of two flats with two shop units, one underneath each flat with a drive through arch between the shops. At present there is a solicitors beneath the flat which is for sale which for the owner of the flat it would be great as there will unlikely be no one there between the hours of 7pm and 8am. If i purchased this property what worries me is for years indian takeaways and kebab shops have been trying to find property & open in the village and sometime in the future the shop unit may become a nuisance balti takeaway open till 2am underneath me which would stink my home out or a 24hr minimart, both would massively depreciate the value of my home. Would there be anything i could do to stop this, ie object???
