His post on the US racing forum{ where he has migrated to ridicule posters there}
Menelaus
Off topic but I think relevant to the discussion.
At the height of the financial crisis (fall 2008) I decided to convert my most liquid asset (that's money for the not so financial matters inclined) into property. I understood the BoE's efforts to prop up zombie UK banks would end up debasing the pound through QE. As a result, I bought a second home in the Loire, about 10 minutes from Amboise. It was something we had been thinking about for a while and I thought, given the circumstances, the time had come. We ended with a modest three bdrm place but it offered everything we were looking for, a pool for the hot summers and some great bike trails nearby for my two young daughters to enjoy.
You may or may not know this but France is considered "off-shore" for UK residents. Since I found myself spending more time in France than usual, and conducting business in my trips over there, I requested that part of my salary be paid in euros and transferred directly into a Paribas account, commensurate with the time I was spending conducting business over there. My firm obliged.
So now melly has a house in france. Where does he get the time to post 18 hours a day?
Heres the thing. Melly converted , at the height of the financial crisis, most of his liquid assets into property.[smiley:crazy] Melly- the director/owner/ceo/head turkey of a "boutique london investment firm"
cashed in right at the bottom I can't remember the FTSE at the time but the dow was below 7000. Today it is 12,400.
So melly missed out on the 90% plus increase since then.
presumably, in his role at the "firm" he in the balance of 2008, 2009,2010 and up to date in 2011 has been advising clients on investments. Yet he CASHED IN AT THE BOTTOM!!!!!!!!
At precisely the wrong time melly cashed in.
This guy is such a fraud he actually believes that post that makes him look smart.
" a pool for the hot summers" what a cliche.
anyone who believed in this turkey- take a long hard look at yourself.Your a prime candidate for scammers.
Benny, yet one more thread you start about me. You have graduated from being the forum's "village idiot" to the forum's "psycho stalker". You should be proud.

correct me if I am wrong but from the following part of his post:

I would say from that, that infact there is no mention of selling anything at a low or high but just using cash he had to purchase a property.

A) Jumped right in right in the middle of a bull trap. How much are you down now melly? (not only in your house price, but what you lost out on by not getting in stocks)
B) Is now further part of the system he denounces time and time again on here. (i.e the housing market being propped up by cheap credit).
He could have also gone for option C), which is in perma bear style, to buy a house in the middle of nowhere, with a bunker, a shotgun, some land, hired goons, and prepare for the coming Armageddon. The location he has picked for this isn't too bad, safely outside the fallout area of a nuclear bomb dropped on Paris, although it remains to be seen whether the trendy types that inhabit this area would be much use in the event of wide spread violence following the breakdown of civil law. I think he needs to rethink his location and go for somewhere more remote. Only 7/10 on the choice he has made currently.
So let me get this straight. The master investor:A) Jumped right in right in the middle of a bull trap. How much are you down now melly? (not only in your house price, but what you lost out on by not getting in stocks) B) Is now further part of the sy

Where did I post I was a "master investor"? Surely, you can do better than that...
BUT.....I do know how money gets created....I can describe you in detail how national statistics calculates CPI...I can explain to you precisely what inflation/deflation is and what are the implications....I do know that hyperinflation is not a monetary event...I do know what the different iterations of QE were meant to achieve....I do use a Bloomie for trading....I do know know how to read charts, I don't mean the ones you use from yahoo....when I say "I'm thinking about it" doesn't mean "i've done it".....when I post that I expect the market to selloff, I get out......and when the markets moves a certain direction, evens if it went the opposite direction of what I expected, I clue in why. Shall I go on?
Whippet, you to need to mature emotionally when trying to debate someone on here...SERIOUSLY.

J2BLUE, thanks for posting that, it seems beyond these chaps comprehension that someone could actually DO OWN a second home. What's the big deal, especially when I said the property was modest. I still don't understand how an innocent post like that invites all kinds of hostility from these chaps.

And still, after all that, you have never had a winning trade except the (almost) one involving AAPL, which you suddenly got scared out of half way in. I find it rather funny that you stated the same line for almost a year, and then, when it appears like your plan is finally coming together, you get cold feet and bail out of it at the last moment on nothing more than a whim of some conspiracy story you have invented about Bernanke.
Tell me this. If you know so much about economics, technical analysis, and tea leaf reading, why do you trade purely based on the latest conspiracy story you have heard about bernanke?
PS Please don't lecture me on maturity, it really is rather rich coming from an obvious sociopath.

Except it wasn't an innocent post, was it? I know you are a sociopath and won't be able to spot this, but it really is rather quite odd for someone to be bragging about having a 7 figure directorship and houses in where ever, on an anonymous internet forum. You must have quite a sad and empty life in all honesty.

Here we go with the insults again.Grow up Whippet, you immaturity is making you embarrass yourself on this forum......and your ignorance, but that's a debate for a different time.
Seriously, do you read anything you write, or are you that deluded?
You seem to have taken the moral high ground rather strangely, which is rather quite odd, as you are not only a pathological liar, twisting people's words, or flat out ignoring any arguments that prove you wrong, but you have massive delusions of grandeur of your own worth. By all means, argue about whatever you want, but don't come on here acting like a pompous, arrogant moron, trying to lecture people about being "immature" whilst acting like even more of a child yourself a few seconds later.
Seek help.

Grandiose delusions are one of the symptoms of being a psychopath.
For some reason, you think you are better than everyone else on this forum. This includes acting like a complete child most of the time, but then 5 minutes later, getting on your high horse and telling other people they are being immature.
This really is fascinating behavior.

Whippet, does it make you feel better when you are spewing insults at the other poster? Is it an attempt to "get even", is it to give you a feeling of "superiority", is it to divert attention from what really is being discussed, or is it simply just a reflection of who you really are and you can't help it? I don't understand, I truly don't don't get it.

Ah yes, another melly trick. When you are losing an argument, completely ignore the other person's arguments and just make stuff up.
Answer this: Why have you taken the moral highground, when you act in exactly the same way as I, and most other people do on this forum?

No, you derailed the thread when you went on one of your lectures about people being immature. Let's take it back to the last proper post I made and take it from there:

I think I left money on the table but I didn't want to be broadsided with yet another "rescue plan to end all Greece rescue plans" over the weekend or by a surprise "massive liquidity injection to support price stability and job growth" by the FOMC next week. And Monday is a double POMO day.
Having said all that, perhaps I got out too early. The action today doesn't bode for the bulls and the AAPL chart is starting to look downright scary. In the last 10 years, on a triple witching day like today, only 13 of the weeks following it have been positive, none of them occurring in the month of June. In fact, the week after a June TWD has been negative for the DJIA for 19 consecutive years.
I'll have some thoughts to share after we hear what the FOMC says next week. After all, it is still my firm conviction, that the FED is the primary driver of all markets and have been since 2008. Good night, enjoy the weekend, we'll chat next week.
To the layman, you basically bailed out based on some scenario involving bernanke you have dreamed up, despite your technical and economic analysis saying things looked "scary". So why did you do it? Perhaps you have a proprietary system as good as mine.

Whippet, get a grip, how's this anything to do with you engaging in a debate (and I use the word loosely) WITHOUT resorting to name calling and insults hurled towards the other poster. If you want to engage in adult conversation about the markets or anything to do with economics/financials, I'd be more than happy to do that, BUT YOU HAVE TO CUT OUT THE INSULTS FIRST. You have to demonstrate that you are mature enough to engage in meaningful debate and perhaps more importantly you have to demonstrate an open mind and a desire to learn.

Whippet, you can't be serious !?!? Using Benny as an example to state your case is akin to blaming King for the sad state of affairs in our economy. It's a strawman......
Benny is a massive ignoramus who pollutes this forum on a daily basis with his rubbish. Although I don't suffer fools lightly I was prepared to move on and put a close to that chapter....until he decided to turn into a stalker. All bets were off at that point.

Whippet, this is my last post of the evening because it's been a long day and I have to get some rest. I have no idea how old you are, I would guess twenty something going on twelve, but that's only a guess on my part. @J2. It is the other way around I am afraid. Melly tries to discredit every other poster on here, which is why we have all now decided to expose him for the fraud he is. Melly might like to think the whole forum is against him, because after all, that is one of the symptoms of being a psychopath. Don't you think it is sort of a coincidence that he has managed to offend at least a dozen people on here, a few of which actually trade for a living and are far more knowledgeable about trading (note: not analysing every minute detail) than he will ever be.

If you read all my posts I dont think you will find me denigrating anyone { other than melly and canada } for their posts as a matter of course. Disagree maybe, argue maybe , but it only melly/canada who conducts themselves this way. Now it seems YOU support them?
