im more interested in this menelaus. of course france is off shore ( en anglais you can even say 'abroad' ), but do you get any tax advantage out of it? im seriously curious. are you a non british person, who ve been living the country for less than 17yrs ( or 'non dom' as they are known )?
or the advantage is just having some asset priced in euro? |

No, I don't mean "abroad", I mean "off shore", big difference. I would suggest you talk to an accountant who specializes in this sort of thing. Smith & Williamson may be a good place to start.

i thought so ( about being english thru and thru ). but apart from suggesting accountants - i have my ones of course, but my private situations are different from yours ), you didnt reply to me as i was curious to know wheter having a place abroad but still being british tax resident warrant for some tax relief. if it s too much to say, i ll write to those guys you suggested of course ;-)
