I'd leave out Tesco. They've underperformed for a few years and a lot of people
reckon the American adventure will end in tears. Without Terry they are not what they once were. |

Banking shares are now rock bottom they can only go one way, no chance of nationalization as many were suggesting on here a few years a ago. RBS & Lloyds now have shrewd gurus in place to ensure proper financial control.

"Banking shares are now rock bottom they can only go one way"
Erm...nope. Lots of things can make them go down further. Exposure to greek debt when they default (and it is when, not if), continuing stagnation in the housing market, general slowdown / likely double dip recession when the cuts really start to bite, etc etc etc. To state categorically they are at the bottom now is incredibly foolhardy. They may be worth buying in a few years time once the overall picture changes, but no way now. And there was never a chance of them being nationalized. |

Turtle may be one of the best sports bettors in the world, but I would, if I were you, perhaps be a tad cautious of his financial analytical skills. |

Thanks[:)]........I think there was a great risk of RBS being nationalized a few years ago.....not the case now though

Considering we were being run by the scots, the chances of them not bailing out a scottish bank were virtually zero, imo.
