Do you not watch the news? Haven't seen what's going on in the middle east? There is your answer.

Which companies do you own shares in?
Report MONEY TREE February 23, 2011 12:06 PM GMT
cad betfair and rem.
Report Stow_judge February 23, 2011 12:32 PM GMT
cad is a speculative one that is going to be hit when the market goes down. The company are yet to turn a profit, or pay a dividend. They appear to have decent potential.
The valuation of Betfair seemed extremely high at launch. It depends what price you are in at.
They have most of the liquidity for now. Growth prospects are questionable. I don't agree at all with the premium charge.
Rem looks like another speculative punt. Again, no company profits or dividends in sight.
You have to take a long term view with shares and ride the ups and downs. Are you gambling or investing? If you are investing, your portfolio should have more balance.

yes looking long term. betfair was a fun buy so not fussed which way they go.

Just annoying when I could of got out higher and back in lower.

look at it like an ante post market on the horses which is probably a bad idea.

Don't worry Mr Tree, I've found its best to sell when you are smiling and very satisfied with the profit you have, because each time ive had that feeling invariably the profits diminish after that point.
