Had a good run recently and I fully expect a fair drop sometime soon. the yanks have more problems than they are letting on and the UK economy will be seriously tested in the coming months. profit take is my advice. wait for it to drop than buy again. but then what do I know. I aint no millionaire.

I am, but I was wrong. I expected it to be strong yesterday but it was only treading water. Today will be a volatile day (UK trade figures out at 0930 and then Little Ben speaking later). I agree to buy dips though and the 5500 by end of Sep is still very likely imo.

Goring I am with you . Markets are miles off the peaks , and the top companies have cut costs to the bone. I expect nothing but good results from the companies making up the main indices..
Anyone notice that the tax payer is now in profit with teh banks , and on top of this the Bank of England is making billions out of being lender of last resort.. My opinion is that although confidence is dipping, things are actually improving markedly

The only thing that bothers me about Gold (apart from the fact that my average in level is only $800 or so and I did it all too late) is that pretty much everyone is talking about it. When there are dispensing machines in hotels around the world selling 1g ingots and people's Mums have read about it in Sunday Telegraph Money, maybe everyone's bought it? (I am still bullish, but nervous).
