In Britain the government owes around £700 billion I was just thinking, I know this must be wrong in some ways, why doesn't the government simply print that amount of money and just give the cash to its creditors, and we the british tax payers, would  all be out of  debt without without any pain atoll.

Why can't a government simply print bank notes and give them to its creditors? Please could somebody tell me why not

That's exactly what they are doing/will continue to do.

If you want to know why it's wrong, look at the value of the pound. Has lost between 15% and 23% against almost every currency (bar the Euro) in the last 12 months.

Anyone who has savings or cash has effectively had some of their wealth robbed off them by the government to give to bankers, public sector employees and people on benefits who sit around doing nothing all day.

Sure house prices might be holding up, but before too long we'll be paying £2 for a can of baked beans, £5 for a litre of fuel and gold will be at £3,000 an ounce.

have you never heard the joke about the weimar republic
in germany in the 1920,s
a local was taking a wheelbarrow full of notes to the
bakers to buy a loaf before it doubled in price the same day
on the way he got mugged
they nicked the wheelbarrow and left the money
this answers your question
