you think quoting charts makes you sound like you know what you are talking about?

you think quoting charts makes you sound like you know what you are talking about? --- i know a lot more than a little spiv bullshiner who regualry spends time talking out of his arse and being made to look rather foolish on this forum... daily. get some retraining you nerd, flogging a dead dog will NOT feed your family. |

dow close under 8400 with volume = time for the bears to celebrate |
By:
needs to close the week under 8400 and we are on :D
By:
Well, it's day off day for the Yanks tomorrow - so today's close will be the weekly close
By:
Let the games begin....
By:
If the chart idea goes the wrong way, they will draw a new chart next week
By:
not sure you can change a chart that is already drawn
HTH ;) |
By:
debt regret , why are weekly closing levels important please ?. genuinely don't know. have a limited understanding of charts. but why would say a weekly close below 8400 be bearish ?
By:
i use daily and weekly charts to form my trading decisions.
a daily close below a support level or a daily close above a resistance level backed with volume is a strong indication of a move. a weekly close, as per the above, is an even stronger indication of a move.... and as this is exactly what is likely to occur on the DOW today... i will be looking to load up my shorts in anticipation of a good move down next week. |
By:
thanks debt
do you ever use fibonacci ? can squeeze some nice points out of them sometimes i find. little example yesterdays high 8585 was more or less a 50% retracement of the move from 8885 to 8256. i'm short above 8500 with stops above 8600. do you trade currencies at all ? |
By:
have played around with fib extensions/retracements in the past... but now stick to simple chart patterns, double tops/bottom, head n shoulders etc
work a treat.. you can overcomplicate matters too much at times and end up with indecision because not all your indicators match up. have traded currencies in the past.. complete gamble. the dow and the s&p are very technical indices. |

good morning debt regret
through the support level in the dow overnight 8250/80 area. all looks a bit shaky to me |
By:
I find that throwing chicken bones up in the air and seeing how they land is an easier way to predict market trends.
By:
morning clouded.
this is going down town baby ;) |
By:
dont jinx it ffs :)
By:
don't be silly.
By:
i'd be hopeful this previous support now turns resistance .. what you reckon ?
By:
very good chance
By:
I reckon it's a load of rubbish. If you call the pattern wrong this week, you'll draw some new lines next week and call it a new support or resistance level
By:
thats elliot waves and yes, thats total tripe.
By:
Stow - stick to the dogs.. there's a good lad ;)
By:
you lot have not got a clue which way it is going. You can draw as many charts as you like.. It makes no difference to what is going to haopen today or tomorrow. The markets can turn on a six pence!
By:
You are a simpleton and a charlatan. Please refrain from posting your crap on this thread.. stick to ramping the ailing propert market in order to drive some mortgages proc fees home.

Debt Regret
All I am saying is that you are posting a load of cobblers. Yr charts are worthless when markets are so volatile. You have not got a clue what volume of trad ethe market expects from one day to the next. The charts are **.. |

Says you... the hotshot mortgage advising charlatan :^0
I will take my 22 years experience of working in the City within debt and equity markets and smash you around that naive, ignorant head of yours. If i may. |
