i have a small ltd company and because i didn't work one tax year i've received a tax rebate :) , now if i put this money into my business account do i have to pay tax on it with it being a tax rebate cos if not i'll withdraw the lot

was the tax rebate to you or the company. if you, the cheque will be in our name, in which case cash in personal bank and no tax, if in company name then has to go in company and advise your accountant and should be no tax. some of my worst tax problems have been through rebates. they give them me one year, and ask for it back [same amount and same details] the next.

after the cheque clears in your account you then need to transfer it to mine, for tax purposes you understand ;-)
