Frontier Spirit managed just 1 win over hurdles but already a better chaser, unlucky not to make it 3 from 3 over fences when nose second at Ffos Las on Boxing Day. Hampered when unseating rider next time.
Skint was a dual winner over hurdles last season, including EBF final at Sandown in March. Made successful start to chase career at Bangor (2m) on return and might have found next outing coming too soon.
Prince of Pirates is a winning hurdler who improved straight away when making successful chase debut at Doncaster last time. Will do even better.
Flaming Charlie is a point winner and successful over hurdles in 2009/10. Off 21 months prior to return this season and good efforts when runner-up last 2 starts. Claims if building on that.
Brackloon High is a dual bumper winner who was even better over hurdles (won maiden at Plumpton). Off the mark at second attempt over fences last time and has more to come. Bold bid expected.
Mid Div and Creep is a prolific pointer and a revelation for current yard, finishing a fine second in the Foxhunter at Cheltenham. Good third in Sussex National on return and respected.
Lexicon Lad bettered anything achieved over hurdles when beating Loch Ba on chasing debut at Warwick (2½m) in November. Good placed efforts since and comes into the reckoning.
Gotoyourplay is a winning pointer who showed considerable improvement when winning novice handicap at Newbury on New Year's Eve. Open to improvement but will need to be from 11 lb higher (2 lb out of weights).
Rebeccas Choice's sole win came in handicap hurdle at Warwick in December 2009, but consistent on the whole, and ran well when second back over fences last 3 starts. Bit to find from 5 lb out of weights, however.
The Magic Bishop was a dual winning hurdler last season and off the mark over fences at Hexham (2½m) in October. Below form last 2 starts, though, and bit to find from 5 lb out of the weights.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Brackloon High
2. Flaming Charlie
3. Prince of Pirates
Timeform View: Brackloon High has taken well to fences and looks on a fair mark. He makes the most appeal in what looks a competitive event, with Flaming Charlie and Prince of Pirates also worth considering.
