Credit Crunched is a maiden point winner who shaped well on all 3 starts in novice hurdles last term. Inadequate trip when mid-field on handicap debut, but step up to 3m will suit for chase bow, and one to bear in mind.
Captain Tidds is a strong-travelling sort who won 3m novice chase at Warwick in February 2010. Well held on both starts last season, again let down by jumping on latest, and has something to prove on return.
Circus of Dreams has struggled for consistency since landing 2½m Huntingdon novice chase in May 2010. Didn't need to be at best to win a match at Ffos Las in April, and let down by his temperament at Ludlow next time.
Saffron Lord was often let down by his jumping over hurdles last season, and got no further than the first on his chase bow at Uttoxeter 10 days ago, although not strictly to blame for that unseat. Others preferred.
Wide Receiver has been revitalised since joining current yard from Charlie Morlock, easily winning brace of handicap chases at Wetherby last month. Raised a total of 34 lb for those wins, but may have more to give.
Near the Water opened his chasing account over 2m here a year ago, and kept on steadily when mid-field at Fontwell (2½m) on return. Can race lazily, although not proven over 3m, and best efforts in the mud.
Monbeg Dude is an Irish point winner who improved on previous hurdles efforts when second of 4 over 25f at Warwick last time, although still looked green off the bridle. Has the size to do better now trying fences.
Father Probus showed signs of temperament over hurdles for Nigel Twiston-Davies, so some doubt as to how he will go on from a promising chase debut, but jumped soundly there, and clearly not short of talent.
Goring One is a front runner who won handicaps here and at Wincanton (21f) in March. Made up for an unlucky defeat on return when winning easily over 2½m here last time, and not dismissed despite a 10 lb rise.
O Malley's Oscar is often well backed, but yet to shed maiden status, and went with no fluency when soundly beaten on chase debut recently (in cheekpieces). Capable of better, but clearly comes with risks.
Pete the Feat improved for the switch to fences when successful over 25f at Folkestone in December and won again there in January. Let down by jumping on reappearance at Kempton, but not ruled out if finding best form.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Wide Receiver
2. Goring One
3. Credit Crunched
Timeform View: Wide Receiver has been a facile winner of both starts for Charlie Longsdon, and he may be able to defy another steep rise before the handicapper catches him up. Goring One goes well here and is feared, while chase debutant Credit Crunched needs respect despite top weight.
