Olympian was back on the up over hurdles with a smooth success over 2m at Stratford in September. Not shone since (including back over fences last time), but he's the sort who generally pays his way.

Katchmore won a Ffos Las novice in March and good second in handicap at Stratford the following month. Longer trip his undoing when last seen in May, and this 4-y-o is still relatively unexposed.

Not Til Monday is a dual-purpose performer with a good strike rate in 2011, winning novices at Plumpton and Lingfield in January/February, and visored to win twice back on the Flat since. Versatile regards ground.

Quiet Whisper improved to win 2m Towcester handicap in May, and not discredited next 4 starts. Fitting of cheekpieces backfired last time, so no surprise they are quickly dispensed with.

Golden Future won on the Flat in June and better than ever when adding to haul in 2m handicap hurdle at Musselburgh recently, cruising into contention then holding on well. Up 7 lb but clearly in excellent heart.

Argaum has done well since fitted with headgear, winning handicaps at Hereford and Bangor, much improved for the latter success. Flopped 7 days later, but had short break since and capable of defying new mark.

Vertueux has just one 2m handicap to his name over hurdles. Also dual scorer on the Flat, but ran a shocker in that sphere most recent start in October. Each-way player if recapturing spark back jumping.

Phoenix Eye is a hold-up type who is on a long losing run which now stretches back over 2 years. Hardly likely to snap that sequence from 7 lb out of the weights.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Argaum
2. Golden Future
3. Olympian

Timeform View: Argaum perhaps found the race coming too soon when failing to justify cramped odds last time and is worth a chance to redeem himself at the main expense of recent Musselburgh scorer Golden Future and top weight Olympian.
