Aikman is just about the pick of these on his exploits over hurdles, winning 3 times, including a minor event at Kelso on recent return to action. A fine chasing prospect who is the one to beat here.

Bold Sir Brian is a bumper winner who opened his hurdling account in Grade 2 novice at Kelso in March. Failed to fire in a better race the following month, but has potential to make up into a useful novice chaser this term.

Drom tasted success in points, but a couple of efforts in hunter chases this spring not at the required level against some useful prospects.

Frascati Park was a smart bumper winner who has made up into a useful hurdler in more recent times, winning a pair of novices last season. Will have been well prepared for chase bow, and another who needs considering.

Going Wrong is very lightly raced, but progressive when he has make it to the track. Not seen since November 2009 (missed 2010/11 with a broken pelvis) and this trip on the sharp side now chasing.

Karmadice is inferior to quite a few of these over hurdles, and endured a mixed time on first stint chasing in 2009/10. Little encouragement both starts over timber this season so readily opposed.

Mystified landed 2 handicaps at up to 2¾m over hurdles in 2009, but well held all 4 starts on the Flat this year and same story back over timber. Firmly up against it now chasing.

Our Mick is a bumper winner who didn't need to match earlier form over hurdles when landing the odds at Hereford in February. Chaser on looks, but worryingly made plenty of mistakes over timber (fell in March).

Still Calm is a temperamental maiden who often makes mistakes and has spurned much easier chances than this.

Stratigic Gale is a lightly-raced gelding who managed to win a weak novice hurdle for Nicky Henderson in March 2010, but below form only start last season and sold very cheaply. New yard is quick to go chasing.

Willie Hall is a bumper winner who shaped well on several occasions prior to scoring over hurdles at Newcastle (2m) in March. Absent since the following month, and work to do with a few here now tackling fences.

Timeform View: Aikman, Frascati Park and Bold Sir Brian can all boast useful form over hurdles. The first-named is very much a chaser on looks and is just preferred having proved his fitness with a recent reappearance success over timber at Kelso.
