13:55 - Juno The Muffinman sets the standard but it's not an exacting one and he already looks to have his flaws so Beyond Conceit and Samba King are more than solid alternatives. The former hails from a yard bang in form and showed more than enough at this track last time, whilst Samba King is the choice of Frankie Dettori and already has form on heavy ground.
14:25 - Four runners but only three with a chance so let's include them all, Kid Suitor, Basantee and Lady Layla the trio in question.
15:00 - Mince is the obvious starting point in this nursery but there will be a couple of unknown factors, primarily very testing ground and the drop to 5f. On that basis let's take a chance on her finishing out of the placing's with Chooseday and Key Ambition viable alternatives. Chooseday looked all speed at Ayr last time (traded at 1.08 before finishing third) and the drop back to 5f is expected to suit whilst Key Ambition has form on heavy ground and can hopefully return to form back under such conditions.
15:35 - Half the field are newcomers but this is going to be a tough introduction with the ground as it is so Intuition goes in alone having shown more than enough on his debut to suggest a race of this nature should be within his compass. He was very green that day and is bred to stay this extra furlong.
16:10 - Another tricky nursery in which Daneking appears to have been given a big chance by the handicapper. The horse he beat at Goodwood comfortably won a maiden next time and a mark of 77 could underestimate this strong-staying type. Zakreet is going the right way, winning his last two both on soft ground, and is included as insurance.
16:45 - Time for another banker in order to keep lines down and Focail Eile looks the perfect candidate. He's only once finished out of the first two in last his six starts (when blinkered, yet to show any form in headgear), has form on very soft ground and highlighted his well-being earlier in the week with an excellent second at Lingfield, pulling clear with a lightly-raced sort.
