Timeform Features
18:00 - A very tough race to start with, but the angle into it is that there's probably going to be a strong pace, suiting both last-time-out winner North Central and last year's winner of this race Ivestar, who seems to have been lined up for it once more.

18:30 - Now it becomes a bit easier as Sharp Sovereign is as genuine as they come and has shaped as if in form despite sliding in the weights this year. Down to a lesser grade of handicap now, he holds strong claims of making all. Dean Iarracht is another one who's slipped back to a good mark and shaped as if back in form at Newcastle last time.

19:00 - There's no questioning that the five-furlong handicap for three-year-olds is a very bad race, but at least Dotty Darroch stands out as by far the most solid, and she'll be very difficult to keep out of the first two.

19:30 - A particularly weak race is followed by the most competitive on the card. Jobe was an easy winner over course and distance last week but hardly appeals as the ideal type for a placepot. So the more reliable Grissom and Frequency are the ones to have on side.

20:00 - Another banker in the penultimate leg. Belle Noverre is two from two over tonight's course and distance and I fully expect her to make a bold bid to defend her unbeaten record. Fremen and Moody Tunes are solid performers but both like to get on with it, so they might just tee it up for the strong-travelling Irish mare.

20:30 - It's best to keep it simple in the final leg, Abidhabidubai and King Kurt are both improving three-year-olds who won last time out and it's very difficult to see both of them being kept out of the first three.
