Comment:

Two points of note today. Firstly, there were more bets available (that met my criteria) than is usually the case for a Sunday. Secondly, even though I lost one bet, my exposure was limited and so I still made a reasonable profit. Happy days.

The reduced exposure was the result of some 'side calculations' I now do for each bet based on my probability expectation of the bets success. I shall be more than interested to see if this addition to my 'tool box' works over the long-term.

Another bit of good news is that I was able to finish early today

Comment:

Losses two days on the run! This time (today) I can identify the cause ... Me! I should have heard the warning bells when I saw a total of 12 selections. That is too many (based on previous form). And sure enough, after my analysis there were at least 3 selections that were questionable of which 2 went on to lose. One lives and learns. So, to give it its technical name, today's loses were due to 'Operator Error'!

Sorry for the delay in posting this Blog. Betfair seemed to have changed the site so it took me a while to find myself (so to speak).

Finally, today's consolation thought is that my Daily Profit for the Month means that I am making more than £900 per week. (£2,875.42/22 x 7 = £914.90)

Not too bad when one considers what a poor month it has been.

I thought I had seen nearly everything in racing but today's loss was a first! A classic case of "No way can I lose..." And then I did. Something happened to leading horse (leading very comfortably and sure to win) and then it suddenly stopped. Well just goes to show you never can tell. Anyway, I suspect I can pull that loss back in a day or two at most (famous last words!!)

Only 3 bets today but they had much better odds, so a reasonable profit for the day. Discipline and patience the only way forward.
It's unlikely that I will reach the £6K mark for this month (due primarily to the appalling start to this month) - but I should break the £20K mark which is a small consolation.
Another consolation is that I got to finish early for once!
