Normal service has been resumed (I trust!). Just another £162 to go and I'll be back on track, in a manner of speaking. What I actually mean is that I will be back to where I was last Friday (£30,459).

I am still aiming for £7,500 this month - but - I suspect £5,000 will be more realistic. No harm in hoping though!

Back to winning ways I am happy to say. Sadly Sundays tend to have few bets, but as always, I'll take what I can when I can.

The next 17 days (til month end) will be interesting to put it mildly! I will need to average £300 per day in order to match/beat last month. Certainly possible ... but I suspect not likely. That said it is all down to whether the bets are there to be had plus at good odds. We shall see.

The bad news is that I lost three bets. However, the good news is that I may have identified a 'gap' in my selection criteria! I will be checking all my losses this year to try and determine if what I think it is that I have been missing is supported by my findings - or - whether it is just me grasping at straws. If my 'hunch' is correct then today's losses will, perversely, have been a 'blessing in disguise'.

Well, that's the £30K mark reached - happy days. Nearly everything 'fell into place' today: A good number of bets: Some with good odds: No losses. I can't really ask for much more (but I'm sure I will in due course).

That said, it's going to be a tough month due to the thumping loss I took last week. That means I will be playing 'catch-up' all month. So, it's head down, mouth shut and just work, work, work!

Comment:

Only 1 bet met my criteria today (that's the bad news). The odds on that 1 bet were great (that's the good news). I rarely get odds as good as I did today (more's the pity). And when I do I have to resist piling in on them (a great temptation but a fool-hardy way to operate).

On the positive side £827 for the week is not to be sneezed at. If I only ever managed to achieve that each week (and believe me I will do / have done better), but if I was stuck at that rate per week I would be earning £43,000 per year - Tax Free - certainly worth getting out of bed for each morning.
