Comment:

Another small profit (for which I am grateful!). My main aim, this month, is simply to get through it. The best I am expecting is a profit of around £3,500 for the month - we shall see.

I was asked if my comment yesterday about 'taking any profit offered' meant that I would take odds in the 100's. The answer is 'No'. The highest LAY odds that I would theoretically risk is 27.00 - but in reality it is more like 21.00 - or its 'risk equivalent'.

I will be operational again tomorrow! My apologies for the interruption. I had a major IT meltdown which is now thankfully resolved.

During the enforced 'stoppage' I paper-traded and would have made a profit of £376.89 over the 3 days - but such is life. No point in crying over spilt milk as they say.

A 'major' IT malfunction at my end has resulted in no bets being selected today. Hopefully 'normal service' will resume tomorrow. I am hoping that all the 'crap' can be fitted into this month and then I can get going seriously again.

Comment:

What a difference a day makes. If ever one needed confirmation that 'sticking to ones guns' was the right approach then today underlined it. I am normally complaining that I either have no selections that meet my criteria or too few. However, today I had a total of 20! Only 15 of them were 'used'. 4 went by the board as either non-runners or very poor odds. The last 1 of the day I chickened out of - if I am honest. I had made a good profit and didn't want to risk it being diminished. Still 15 is tremendous. A few more days like today and I'll be back on target - but let's not get overly excited.

A small step in the right direction at long last!
The key to success (long-term) when faced with periods like this month is to just keep at it. Never change the approach. My method has the beginnings of a track-record that I feel I can rely on. I am not doing anything different - but the market is. As long as it is only a temporary 'hic-up' all will work out just fine. The question is .... "Is it a temporary 'hic-up or something more profound?" My money, literally, is on it being temporary. We shall see.
