Novak plays his best and Sinner has an off day or cramps and the crowd go wild, it's possible. But Sinner stays 80% near his best then no chance.
By:
Yeah, a lot will depend on how he holds up against those outside of Sincaraz this year.
By:
Sinner cramps needed for sure. And not gonna happen at a night session.
By:
Dimitrov had him on the ropes at Wimbledon, which seemed unthinkable, so he's not infallible. Seems very unlikely though, especially here, for sure.
By:
grass is where he's the most vulnerable, and he still beat Carlos and Novak there easily last year.
By:
Novak really wants to beat this AI, but I can't see it happening
By:
If Carlos is 2.8/2.9 for the final, I would say that's good value. There's the risk that he won't have the legs, but I'd take those chances. Sinner has not been impressive so far.

Will this match go over 2 1/2 hours?
By:
I remember Carlos playing a 4 hr semifinal in Barcelona and then he came back and won the final in 2 sets that same afternoon. And he's still only 22 so should have every chance to recover.

Must be so hard for Novak. So conditioned to know he's the best on court, and now the realisation he isn't and the match is not in his hands.
By:
Yeah, Carlos should be fine I think.
By:
For every match he loses against Sinner and Alcaraz I get more impressed with how he managed to win the 2024 Olympics.
By:
I don't know. He's a smart guy, I'm sure he understands that Father Time helped him out against Federer and that's just how things work.
By:
If nothing else, he gets more adulation these days which he always craved but rarely got during his winning years.
By:
I think it will come down to how his body holds up, results against the big 2 and how much he enjoys life on tour.
I think setting records is a big motivator for him. Might not be reaching 25, but there's still most ATP titles, oldest player to accomplish x & y etc. If Stefan was a little older he would probably want to play doubles with him Tadde Maria style some day, but that's very unlikely to happen given Stefan's age. |

By:
Novak threw everything at that point and Sinner still prevails.

By:
Sinner serving his way out of trouble here.

very unlike Sinner that shot.

By:
Sinner a mile off his best. Stays like this and he will be out

Watching Novak during the changeovers has been fascinating/amusing
