Vicky strategically tanking a 500 final to get some rest shows she's going for the bog one.
I'm assuming there's no preview thread due to the phorum being on life support but if you do one please repost the following picks. Mens Q1 Demon or Budkhov Kjaer (who I fancy to pull a shock win on Opelka in R1) Q2 Norrie or Tien Q3 Mensik or Musetti Q4 Sinner or Fonseeeeeca Womens Q1 Mboko or Kostyuk Q2 Jessica Bouzas Mineiro or Mirra (unless winning an event the night before a slam takes its toll) Q3 Amanda and Noskova rematch and again I think the winner may go on to win the title Q4 Rybakina or Valentova Iga and Carlos need this to complete the career slam but my hunch is neither will be happening this year Marina Stakusic needs to be watched as a proven big match player that has been kept off the radar by injury She came through the Canadian hipster scene with Mboko and will be keen to follow her trajectory. |

Don't really have the time to previews anymore, they were sporadic mostly, not really worth the effort either as I doubt it's read from top to bottom by more than 3 people anyway lol. |

Belated happy new year to you as well. You and I used to be the contrarian mavericks on here mes. Now we're keeping the lights on the night before a slam
Valentova has a grim first round tie against Maya Joint. I haven't really watched her yet come up against intense partisan support but if she gets through that she could go deep. Interesting we agree on Kostyuk. She's given herself a great chance and she's still got a lot of her career ahead of her considering she seems to have been on thescene forever |

Less Rich Emma aka Raducanu has been getting media coverage for her moaning about the scheduling. Maybe playing in a bad mood will give her a bit of a distraction to play through
I always remeber Conchita Martinez won her only slam when she playing through an injury and spent the whole Wimbledon fortnight looking distracted by it |

u and I used to be the contrarian mavericks on here mes. Now we're keeping the lights on the night before a slam
have to check in at every slam these days just to make sure someone's remembered to put a few quid on the meter.I actually have Joint winning that match up in my draw (even if drawchallenge thinks Valentova is called Martincova), though not actually sure if Maya gets the strong support a born and bred Aussie gets down Under with her accent, like with Emma and Laura who always received way more support than what Konta once 7.5 mil casuals tuned into BBC at Wimbledon to watch her match with Halep only to find out after she wasn't local. In the final throws of confidence in Raducanu in believing she's not just a one slam wonder, she has a much higher ceiling than her results the last few years have showed but now has to prove it fully fit, and those matches against Saba last year is what she should be holding onto in believing she can mix it with the best, she was only KO'd out of all 4 slams last year by the three best players in the world. Let's see what Roig can do. Freezer full to the brim with ice cream, bags of snacks by my side, all ready for the happy slam - good luck everyone ! Mines rammed packed with frozen blueberries, can't eat ice cream unless it's summer, should be illegal to have it in winter . Kind Regards. |

Sabalenka 1.01 to lay, very rare to see on the women's side in a Slam. And it's against someone who won a WTA title recently.

do betfair not have AO streams? did they have them last year?

|
By:
not having wta is one thing but I'm surprised they wouldn't have all the slams
|
|
By:
depends on which provider has the rights. If for instance the provider who has the WTA rights, which Betfair thinks are too expensive, recently bought the Australian Open rights, Betfair won't stream it as I believe it would be included in the same package.
There's also a slight possibility that Betfair do have the rights to show it and there's some tech issue causing them not to stream it, but they're too sloppy and lazy to figure this out. |
|
By:
I think they have the other three now.

https://www.statsperform.com/press/stats-perform-to-exclusively-distribute-australian-open-video-and-data-rights-in-extensive-new-partnership-with-tennis-australia/
, Stats Perform has the WTA. According to this they got the live streaming rights to the Australian Open in 2023 which would explain why Betfair hasn't been streaming it in recent years. |

when was Elsa 1.01? Just after the injury?

yeah there wasn't much matched so it doesn't really count
Jacquemot-poots is going to be a funny match |

I got Elsa 2.35 with a book just after the injury, layed off here at 1.4
Tap would have screwed me over, but it never looked like an instant tap and so close to the finish line I figured it would be unlikely. |
