It's important to remember that Novak was helped to preserve whatever energy he had for this semi final coming into it having only played 2 full sets in the previous 2 rounds combined, walkover 4th round, 0-2 down quarters, ret.
That must have helped him last this 5 setter, a little bit of luck as well that Carlos played over 5 hours and was cramping but 2 days should be enough for him. I think Novak can win a set, but really cannot see him winning. |
