BOLD Predictions assuming Shelton winning Wimbledon and Mboko winning the US wasn't bold enough.
Cirstea to finish her final season Top 20 for the first time. Tommy Paul to shock the world and reach a Grand slam final. Raducanu to reach the Wimbledon final. Fonseca to win his first Masters 1000 title and gatecrash the top 10 with strong slam performances to boot. Eala to win a 1000 event and break into the top 20, already first women from the Philippines to reach top 50. Berrettini to retire from the sport due to injuries admitting he can't reach his former level anymore. Ostapenko to finish outside the top 50 for first time since she broke into it 10 years ago. Tien to have at least 10 Top 10 match wins and cause a BIG upset in one of the slams KO'ing a top 5 player. Jabeur to make a comeback for the US Open 5 months after giving birth to reach the final after naming her son Roland after Mr Garros.
tobiasr January 10, 2026 4:30 PM GMT Felix at 4 mes... I'll have some of what you've been smoking
I believe Felix the cat's time has arrived, big 4 era long since over, Novak fading away, his time has come
Journeyman • January 12, 2026 2:05 AM GMT Budkov Kjaer looked imperious at times against Tien in the Nextgen. I think he'lll get an ATP title. Mensik and Fonseca to both reach a slam SF in 2026. Tery Supernova will reach a slam final and rocket into the top 10. Leylah and Mboko will scrap it out for Canadian number 1, both getting into the top 10 in the process. Speaking of Mboko, she'll defend the Canadian Open and hold both the Montreal and Toronto honours. Iga wins no slams or 1000s. Less Rich Emma will get on the UK front pages at the expenses of a major world event (again) KT Boulta will fail to get 10 percent of Less Rich Emma's media attention (again) The illusionist will reach the wimbledon final. The Czech team will win BJK and underline their multiple era quality.
I'm looking forward to the Mboko-Iga match up, haven't crossed paths yet.
TheCarambaExperience • January 12, 2026 2:35 AM GMT Mine aren't that bold, but I'll go with: Taylor Fritz leaves the top 10. Adam Walton makes the top 50. Novak Djokovic announces his retirement. Katie Boulter retires from the sport.
Mes, can I use your WTA predictions for my WTA top 8 comp then?
Yeah, not sure where this comp is at, but yeah.
Journeyman • January 12, 2026 4:20 PM GMT I'll submit a top 8 if it's not too late. 1 Sabalenka 2 Amanda 3 Mboko 4 Iga Shocked 5 Gauff 6 Mirra 7 Rybakina 8 Noskova 9 Leylah 10 Valentova

if you end up being right about felix mes then it'll be a sad indictment of the state of men's tennis. only way he ends up ranking as high as forth is if all the other top player stink the tour out.

that's the thing there's not much top class opposition, there's Sincaraz who have the top 2 positions sewn up, then 3rd down to 12th/13th is much of a muchness and that includes the fading Novak, Felix has already peaked at 5th in the world, like him on grass, every year it feels like he'll go deep at Wimbledon because he has a game for it, but every year he gets bummed out in the first couple of rounds, cant got on forver, one year however he did beat Federer/Zverev/Kyrgios/Hurkacz and Querry during the grass season, all good grass court playerss, he has it in his locker.
It's amazing given the shape Penko allowed herself to fall into that she hasn't fallen out of the top 50 already, she never really had that special mentality to want to kill herself to be the best player she could be, though Tennis is not everything to some players, she likes baking cakes.
Missed am open goal in the OP, should have said "Tien to have at least 10 Top 10 match wins and finish the season in the Top Tien"
