cracker just now. two absolute mugs in van assche and gueymard wayenburg. van assche serves for a win in straight sets, broken twice in a row to go to a decider. then gueymard wayenburg goes 4-0 up in the decider with two breaks, only to then get broken three times in a row which sees van assche serving for the win. van assche gets broken then easy holds are exchanged to take it to a breaker which van assche wins 7-1 with gueymard wayenburg not winning a single point on his own serve. makes you realise how good the best players are because that was absolute toilet.

hijikata joins the ranks. drops first set against yibing, then goes 5-0 up in the second. loses the match in straight sets. epic.

now putintseva at it. 3-0 up with two breaks, loses the set 6-4 including failing to break from 0-40 and failing to hold serve to stay in the set from 30-0 and 40-30

now broken from 40-0 to go back on serve in the decider. there are some truly dreadful players masquerading a pros in tennis

five points in a row lost from 40-0 you'd think she was playing sabalenka or swiatek. but no. its kasintseva. who is woeful

must be something about kasintseva as boulter the latest to mug a win into a loss against her. goes a set and a break up with 15-40 for another break, loses the set to go to a decider. goes 2-0 up in the decider then doesn't win another game and broken to love in the final game for good measure. do we think she gave up at the end. if she gets in the main draw as a lucky loser after that performance there must not be a god.

this one is hall of fame and possibly the worst collapse you will ever see. jeanjean goes from a set and 5-2 up, serving for the match against rakhimova and then does not win a single game more. lost 11 games in a row. that really is something else.

arango blows 5-2 with two breaks in the decider against udvardy and loses in a tbotaj. served for the match twice.

mertens blows 4-1 and 0-40 for 5-1 to lose in a final set breaker against ka plisk. got down to 1.01

gauff blows a double break lead in the deciding set against noskova, then blows 3-0 in the breaker. she cant even blame her serve. noskova served worse and more dfs than she did.

stearns joins the ranks. 5-2 with two breaks in a decider against bolsova and loses in a tb. total mug and one to avoid when in the lead as shes pulled this sort of thing more than once before.

not a collapse or even a loss but worth mentioning if anyone is insane enough to want to back hijikata on a clay court. dont. only just beat 600+ ranked basile in a tbotaj and that's after basile served for the match - made him look like nadal. clearly has no idea what hes doing on the surface.

trungelliti from a set and 5-1 against navone, loses six games in a row including serving for the the match twice, now an early break down in the decider.

collapse complete. from a set and 5-1, navone wins 12 of the next 13 games to get the win.

nice contribution from humbert just now. after buse collapsed from a set and a break up twice, humbert returns the favour in style by spunking a 3-0 lead with two breaks in the decider with a moral bagel afterwards

got to add de minaur to the honour roll. not a set and double break lead against paul, but a set and 3-0 up then proceeds to lose 9 games in a row. beneath contempt and like felix, another player you wouldnt want want in the trenches with you.

from a set and 3-0 ahead, de minaur won 3 out of the next 15 games. absolutely embarrassing.

from a set and 4-1 up with two breaks on cilic, shapovalov loses five games in a row to go to a decider, which despite going a break up he inevitably loses. no brain and no fight. no wonder hes never amounted to anything.

actually it was even worse. got another break in the decider so got to serve for the match, then got broken twice more to lose it. absolutely pitiful
