Don't forget about the Eurovision.
By:
No, not Eurovision.
By:
actually they might not want that.
By:
clashing with Wimbledon not that big a deal imo, can still watch both, December world cups have taking away the tradition of world cups in June/July where they always where, and there's far less excitment and build up because of cold, in previous world cups everyone would be out in the parks the Summer sun, watching on big screens getting pissed and whatnot, in Qatar most people where in the sitting room, next to the radiator, with nice cup of hot tea, the brewery industry did far less buisness.

Eurovision in Saudi Arabia

Jesus Christ that'd be an end to Islam as we know it

Or Eurovusion as we know it.

Saudi Arabia got the WWE Divas to cover up. Would also get Olly Alexander to cover up if they wanted the comp.
By:
By:
is the Saudi deal the real reason Alize Cornet retired?
By:
It's a bit funny that WWE Saudia Arabia had the divas all covered up, but the men were still in their usual budgie smuggler spandex from what I know.
By:
There's nothing to do in December. Nice to have some world class football going on. In June/July, so much stuff to do regardless if you are a betting person or not.
By:
They're not called divas anymore, edy.
By:
WHAT?
By:
They are superstars these days, just like the men. Well you can ask arrong, but I think that's the term, definitely not divas, that term was outfaced over 5 years ago.
By:
Ok
By:
Aaron gives me very little WWE news these days. Only about that Austrian dude and old studs like Rock, CM Punk and AJ Lee occasionally.

Premier Leauge is jammed packed in December, Fury-Usyk on Dec 21st
But there is no tennis, so if that's all you watch, then there would be nothing to do Most people definitely prefer summer world cup |
By:
Soon summers in Europe and most of Asia will be too warm for summer world cups.

I once queued up to get the Rock and Big Show's autograph, even though I barely knew who they were, the queue was so long they made a cut off point and I was behind it, so had to go home anyway.

I think we should have a World Cup in the Maldives to highlight climate change myself

Sea level rise is too slow.

And the stupid maldives do that stupid land thing that the netherlands have made famous too.
By:
of course they prefer summer world cups because it's tradition and it doesn't clash with work for them.
By:
no it's because it's summer, people like being outside, socialising with friends, watching football and drinking, not stuck at home in the dark winter, even worse for you Scandos with limited light you get.
By:
what stupid land thing? reclaiming ?
By:
Brits need to learn how to live without drinking. Only met a few who can during my six years here.
By:
I'm not really a drinker at all, a special occasions sort or drinker, I've never smoked either, body is a temple.
By:
Brits get pissed simply because the weather is so miserable imo

edy how accurate is this line up for Germany's first game, trying to build my fantasy football team
Neuer-Mittelstadt-Rudiger-Tah-Kimmich-Andrich-Kroos-Musiala-Gundogan-Wirtz-Havertz |
By:
The team that you have there is the one used in our most recent games and that should be mostly the starting IX at the tournament.
Question marks could be - Mittelstädt to be replaced by Raum. - Andrich by Groß - One of Musiala and Wirtz by Sane - Havertz by Füllkrug or Undav Maybe depending on the matchups and teams we play against. E.g. maybe against the big bad brutes from Scotland Nagelsmann will want the more physical and stronger Füllkrug to battle it out early in the game instead of the delicate Havertz. |
By:
The rest should be set unless injured.
By:
yeah I got the line from a predictor site called bulnews or something
was hoping Havertz was a shoe-in |
By:
thanks anyway, the benefit of this particular line up is the game I'm playing allows you to make transfers til the deadline, as Germany is the first game I'll get the teams but prep always helps save time.

another day of tennis! Go Olga!

no rest for the wicked. Or the Serbian tennis fans.
