For fans of Lazy Sunday and Muggy Monday this is your last chance to enjoy that, because next year they switch the format.
Some big names already out: Thiem, Rafa, Simona, Osaka.
The men's event has the shortest odds on the favorite in ages (Roger in 06' '07?) whereas I can't recall a time where the favorite for the women's event had such big odds.

Looking at forecast, won't be surprised if there is zero play on outside courts all day. There are potential windows, but also potentially none long enough that you ever see play actually happen.

Easy (so far) for Sabalenka, but no signs of her game actually progressing. Just bashing the ball as she did when she first broke through, and consequently far too many unforced errors. No signs yet that she is capable of building a rally. No attempt to draw out the easy ball that even she couldn't miss. You couldn't be at all confident that she is going to improve on that poor Grand Slam record.

There was also irony already as Sue Barker and Andrew Castle were praising the vaccine allowing the event to go ahead safely, and then about 3 minutes later went to the first match of the day on Court 1 with Annabel Croft on commentary.
