I think Kenin has played quite well, just been outgunned. The standard hasn't been that bad has it?

I don't think Iga played anywhere near as well as previous rounds and has still won very easily in the end.

Very low standard for a final, worst since Barty's French Open win. Crap finals always seem to happen on clay.

Fair enough, I thought it was a decent match. I've seen a lot worse on the WTA.

Replying to @josemorgado
Swiatek with some great words for Aga. "Radwanska didn't win a Slam but she was on top of the tour for 12 years or something. Many people will compare me to her, but I still need to do a lot to be the best ever player in my country."

Just a week ago Iga Swiatek was unsure whether she would commit to tennis long term or go to university.

Now the 19-year-old is a Grand Slam champion - the lowest-ranked woman to ever win the French Open.

"I wasn't expecting to win this trophy," the Pole said after her dominant 6-4 6-1 win over American fourth seed Sofia Kenin in Saturday's final.

"It's obviously amazing for me. It's a life-changing experience.

"I just feel like I kind of made history."

I can reasonably accurately predict where the match market will go on a point by point basis once in play, and can perform the same trick in reverse, being able to tell the score and if a first serve fault has occurred by looking only at the market .

But I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to set betting markets Cry

Anyway, some general background stats.

Only 8 (15%) French Open finals have gone to 5 sets, whilst there have been 22 (42%) 3 setters , and the same number of 4 setters.
The last 5 set final was in 2004, the last one before that was in 1999.

Thus, there has not been a five setter in the Nadal era.

In the 2012 final, Nadal beat Djokovic in four sets after going two sets up.
In the 2013 semi-final, Nadal beat Djokovic in five sets after winning the first.
In the 2014 semi-final, Nadal beat Djokovic in four sets after losing the first set.

However, in the 2015 semi-final, Djokovic won in straight sets (7-5 6-3 6-1) IN HEAVY CONDITIONS

So, what does all of that mean for today ?
Je sais pas Cry

In the overall market, Nadal is the 58% favourite, and I agree with that, and there may even be a value price.
I would be surprised if either player was to win in straight sets, other than for a genuine injury during the match.

5 sets would not surprise me, in which case it becomes a bit of a toss up.

If forced to make a selection, I would go for Nadal in 4, my lack of knowledge of these markets preventing me from knowing if 4.60 is a fair price.

Going to pay attention to the set betting market today, so for reference here are the pre-match prices

    Final        3-0        3-1        3-2
    Djokovic        8.2        6.0        7.2
    Nadal        4.5        4.6        6.6
