In a big shock to everyone, Alexander Zverev lost against The Smiling Assassin from Southern Tyrol, Jannik Sinner, after the German failed to take advantage of either of his two match points in the tiebreak. Zverev was not his only victim as she also took Hank Hill and SabineIsGOAT down at the same time.
To make matters even better for the man that picked Rafa, the pick of Hank Hill and SabineIsGOAT wasn't even 100%. That leaves wisewords as our lone survivor. He grinded hard, he grinded long, and he always gave his best effort - just the way it's meant to be on clay. Even more so in the heavy autumn conditions. Congratulations wisewords on your first Roland Garros men's trophy, and 7th (or so) slam overall! |
