it would make sense to create some intrigue that way rather than start with Poland, Latvia, Moldova etc who gave Ukraine 12 pts.

Ukraine got almost nothing from the first 3-4 juries. And now they're getting points from everyone. Seems like it was done that way by design.

kinda like how in the Trump vs Biden election they started announcing Florida and other states where Trump did well.

yup. I figured UK was a big lay at that price, but stayed away because I haven't been following. But they were expected to do well with the juries and need a landslide victory with juries to have a chance once televotes are presented.

Russ is such a tragic story for GM LeBron. A year ago they gave up a ton to acquire him. Now they'd have to throw in all sorts of things for another team to take him on.

Don't remember ever having written something critical about Westbrook and his efficiency.

I think the entire NBA world apart from acting GM LeBron knew that Westbrook was a bad fit in addition to not being the player you want for your championship hopefuls to begin with in 2022. And certainly not with him being on a monster of a crippling supermax franchise player contract for another two years at the time of the trade. Maybe LeBron deep down did know as well, but he wanted his buddy's longtime dream of playing in his home town for the Lakers to become true. Or...as is sometimes suggested, the management agency that represents both played a big role in LeBron making the trade for Westbrook.

Yeah, he was basing the decision on whether to go on Saturday or Sunday on if it was more likely to be against a Game 6 or 7. And since Game 7's are less likely, he went with the Sunday as there was a good chance he would have no NBA competition. But then it didn't work out since there was a Game 7 after all. But he said he played the odds, it just didn't work out this time. This all makes sense but it just sounds so funny when he speaks as fast as Karolina Pliskova and throws in percentages for every fifth word he says. But I'd rather listened to someone weird like him than some very media trained executive with all sorts of cliches. And he's also not a jerk like Dana White.
