He's just very thin skinned imo. He's happy to say things about others but can't accept it if someone says something about him. And then chooses violence instead of letting cooler heads prevail. I don't think he thinks he is a tough guy, not like he gets into fights with people bigger than him.

He's very confident in himself since he did that wrestling hiatus to do MMA. I think he's happy to escalate to a fist fight if opportunity presents. I don't think he would have been like that if he hadn't done the MMA training

Don't know the full story about the Jack Perry fight on Sunday though. anywhere I can read full details about it?

so far there are conflicting reports. But there was a previous incident where Jack Perry wanted to use real glass in an angle and was told by agents and Punk that he couldn't. And on Sunday Perry landed on that ambulance window, then looked into the camera and said "Real glass. Cry me a river!" into the camera and then there was a physical altercation once he got back from his match, and Punk was about to go out for this. But as far as what went down in the fight, and who instigated it, the stories differ.

doesn't seem likely. It's now the 2nd fight and 5th-6th incident involving Punk since he's been with the company.

thanks. I read all this stuff but was wondering about the actual altercation/fight last night. can't find good details on that. it can't have been much surely?

you did a good job at summarising it all there though

from what I heard it was brief. but still, grown men fighting ...

also came across this, Punk should have fought AEW's travel agent instead.

Wrestle Features @WrestleFeatures
When CM Punk landed at Heathrow Airport for All In on Saturday morning, no one from AEW was waiting to greet him with a car service to take him to the hotel.

Punk texted a number he was given by AEW for the driver, and it bounced back.

Punk decided to buy a train ticket and find his own way to his hotel. In the process, he got lost, and some fans had to help Punk on his way.

classic Tony Khan. do you know how long Punk has left on his AEW contract?
By:
SamuelMertensBertens
When: 29 Aug 23 02:25
no, but I think it's a fairly long one and he signed in July 2021.

not sure how reliable this info is.

Crazy if MJF's deal really runs out on Jan 1, 2024.

well it's not like Bosman in football and should he jump TK can always book him to lose the belt but given what happened with Bret many years ago (Montreal) you don't want to leave that til last minute.
By:

that website is based off reports and assumptions. would be cool to know the true info for people like Punk, MJF etc
By:
SamuelMertensBertens
When: 29 Aug 23 03:08
MJF himself gave the Jan 1 date very recently. It's of course possible he has already renewed but they're keeping that secret. Sometimes info gets out, sometimes not. In wrestling it's not as public info consistently as sports like NFL, basketball, football etc. But AEW loves to brag about contract extensions and they haven't for MJF so the Jan 1 could be true.

When: 29 Aug 23 03:11
yeah I'm inclined to go with your version. if Tony had signed MJF to like 5 more years he'd have announced it by now. they're probably in negotiations
By:

When: 29 Aug 23 03:12
gut instinct.. does he stay or go? I think he'd be a fool to leave
By:

When: 29 Aug 23 03:24
depends on how badly WWE wants him.
If they give them the Cody treatment, Vince visiting him personally, letting him have perks like how Cody got to keep his music, he should seriously consider it. WWE is where a star like MJF belongs and it could springboard him to Hollywood eventually if that's something he wants
But if WWE doesn't make a super serious play for him or he feels there's a risk he'll only be a midcarder there, he should renew with AEW and stay for another 2-3 years and see how things are in a few years. Gut feeling is he enjoys the freedom he has in AEW and he'll stay for now as long as TK pays him well.

Stupid censorship. In the middle part of the link with the stars it needs to be nextf*ckinglevel, but with that lone star also replace with an u.

Here's a follow-up to what
@SeanRossSapp reported earlier about CM Punk not being made aware of his suspension by AEW.

From what I gather, AEW has not directly contacted Punk about his suspension, but he was informed about it by his lawyer.

I had never seen Aussie Open before or heard their theme. People booed them but loved to chant along to the OI OI OI part.
