so, Djokovic is back now

Ben is just pandering to his female followers as always.
And ridiculous to tell the women there that he doesn't know that they're just waiting for the womens final, if that's was the case they wouldn't bother watching the men's if the women's was all that wanted to see. |

WD Novak backers.
Serena looks a good bet in the final but i must admit i've not seen Kerber hit a shot this tournament. |

Ben's followers mostly disagree with him, he isn't really doing it for the plaudits there

good match..djoko's class but needs to grow a bigger pair at times
rafa was basically behind the 8 ball most of the time even his heroics couldn't see him prevail off to the fitba now no interest in the sh1t that's going to follow |

has Ben given any credit to Rafa and Novak for just playing one of the best tennis matches of all time?

good match..djoko's class but needs to grow a bigger pair at times amazing, just fought off a zoning Nadal and performed huge on the big points when down on serve a bunch of times and still this ![]() |

13m13 minutes ago More Rafael Nadal hits an unreal dropshot to save Djokovic's first match point. This tennis has been ridonkulously good today, utterly no disputing that. |

if Ben thinks BO5 is bad, should that opinion change because of a really good match?
|
|
By:
Great stuff from both of them, Djoko really played like back in 11 and deserved the win, I wonder how it will affect him physically and mentally on sunday with zero days rest.
|
|
By:
ok, I saw that, but stopped reading at ridonkulously so missed that part.

you can be against bo5 without resorting to muggery like "we've given over Centre Court for an extended occupancy by The Men, who are still playing because of an antiquated format they cling to to prove how manly they are or something we're really not sure." and "We know you were here to see Serena Williams go for history a whole hour ago, but you see The Men are still out there and we don't feel empowered to tell them to constrain themselves."

that's fair

Good that!
Football now, I refuse to watch John Coffey in a wig slaughter some girl. |

Ben Rothenberg
@BenRothenberg 2m2 minutes ago Only ~10% of this match, timewise, was after 6-6 in the fifth. It was the best, most exciting part of it all, when both guys were on the cusp of winning. Abbreviating that part, instead of the extraneous two sets at the beginning of the best-of-five match, seems so misguided. |

he's a fantastic player..bob
u could see he always had just a little bit more than rafa but he goes walkabout at crucial points in matches too often letting his oppos back in just always got that slight timeform squiggle for me as a backer didn't get involved in the match just pleasure to watch 2 greats against each other greats nearly in ur class bob ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
had to google John Coffey, got the desired laugh tho |
|
By:
The problem with that theory to me is without the journey you wouldn't get the destination. It wouldn't feel the same if all that happened 3 hours before.

you had a great BO3 match yesterday that finished in a final set TB

7-6(9) 3-6 10-8 or 6-4 3-6 7-6(9) are still two pretty dramatic great matches

The thing is Ben has turned it into a sexism debate when it isn't really one (for once).
