I think I saw a while ago Konta is ranked like 77th in return games won, but this does a lit bit disservice as it will include mugs who only played other mugs in mug events, but even so 34.8% is really weak. Most top 10 are typically low 40s, best players are high 40s, absolute best around 50.

This is one of the reasons why wildcards should be scrapped, one of many, Halep has to suffer the misfortune of playing what really is a Slam final calibre match, in Round 1, she's worked hard for 12 months to get her seeding/ranking, and Pova gets shoe horned into the draw having not earned it at all. Sharapova looked really average though in the 1 match we saw her, and that was on fast courts, these courts are slower, I suspect we will just get a truckload of ue from Sharapova.
