There is likely to be more heat on though these days. Like I would expect this to make some news. Everyone knows this was dodgy as anything. There hasn't been anything this blatant for anyone to get their teeth into on the main tour in some time, last time you had things like this, Twitter barely existed.

There are 128 players in the Grand Slam qualifiers. What is the probability that the first 5 alternates as of today will make it into the Qs - i.e., that at least 5 players scheduled to play in the Qs as of now withdraw by Tuesday/Wednesday?

Another way is players in Q getting into main draw Mouse Trap. Eg. at least 1 more withdrawal is likely expected (Vika).
But I don't really know answer, I would guess reasonably unlikely on the Sunday before Q starts. |

Good point n88 - the only thing is that such info hss to be known by the start of Qs, so much earlier than the deadline for MD. But thanks, I didn't consider this.

All Q players must be in New York by now surely, so would have withdrawn by now if they were going to on most part. Unless there's any in the New Haven draw which I don't know and haven't looked.
